Have You?

Have you ever tried to fly
but you fall; your wings are too small
Or felt, in your throat, the bitterness of bile
To swallow all these changes, you'll never win.
Stubborn, like a butterfly at sea
They never sink in.

And the agonizing stare you get
When you look into the mirror.

No cars or tea to pick you up
Have you ever felt like letting yourself loose
From the noose around your chest?
When you are Duck and they are all Goose
It's a question of Bad and Good
Unsure of who turns left.

Have you ever felt that sickening emotion
Boiling at the core of your stomach?
Or felt the walls turn into muck
at the touch of your claws?
What is it with all these laws
of companions and speech?
It's a leech, sucking
the joy out of breathing.
